On Thursday 19th January 2017, Bishop Stephen,  the Bishop of Chelmsford visited St Margaret’s Church of England Primary School. His visit was well received by the staff and the children. He took an assembly and showed the children his official robes and  talked about his role as a bishop . Can anyone remember how many buttons on his robe?  The Bishop  even wore purple socks to match his robes.  He said the most important thing about him and his role is being a follower of Jesus.  We all enjoyed the way he described the events in his life. The Bishop walked around the school, spoke to the children, staff and the Chair of Governors. He was impressed by all and thanked everybody for their hard work and their commitment to the school and encouraged to continue in their important work.  He tweeted afterwards to say that he’d had a wonderful day.
